Today, the magic of play to earn has become ubiquitous. Blockchain games are springing up everywhere, but these games only appeal to a small section of gamers – those familiar with blockchain, NFTs, or cryptocurrencies. We have yet to have a true play-to-earn game with mass appeal outside the blockchain space.
There are many reasons for this. Blockchain games are usually caricatured or 2D games that cannot compete with their high-graphics counterparts on the traditional gaming scene. This is one main reason play-to-earn hasn’t penetrated the conventional gaming space yet.
The developers of Katana Inu seek to change this narrative by creating a competitive play-to-earn game with high graphics, offering traditional gamers the best of both worlds ー
a chance for an interesting and immersive gaming experience with an opportunity to earn from their grind.
What is the Katana Inu Game?
Katana Inu is a free-to-play fighting game with an opportunity to earn exclusive NFTs and Katana Inu tokens as in-game rewards. These rewards can be earned by winning tournaments against other players and teams, completing in-game quests, or just playing alone or on a team.
Katana Inu Story…
Katana Inu takes place in a relatively peaceful fantasy land inhabited by various creatures who are suddenly thrust into a 100-year war with the arrival of demonic entities belonging to the Ginko Clan.
You bear the title Katana Inu ーthe leader of the Katana monks, a group of heroes sworn to obtain scared relics, defeat the Ginko Clan and restore the land to its former glory.
Katana Inu Game Modes
Katana-Inu’s main game mode will be Battle-Royale, with a maximum of 60 players. Here, players can squad up or go solo against a team of other players in an interactive open-world map. Katana Inu will also feature different game modes in smaller map arenas like 1v1, 3v3, or 5v5. While the battle royale mode will launch in Q3 2023, the developers plan to introduce these smaller competitive game modes much later in the future.
NFTs play a crucial role in the Katana Inu game. They serve as skins and other important in-game assets or customizable items. These in-game items are strictly for aesthetic purposes and will provide no advantage in battle. There will also be many other exciting collectibles, including weapons, abilities, spells, poses, and skins that players can earn by simply playing the game.
The Katana Inu Ecosystem
Katana Inu is not just another battle royale game, it is a community-based ecosystem with various interconnected features that provide its members with a highly immersive gaming experience and an opportunity to earn from their playtime.
The Katana Inu ecosystem features include:
Social Integration System
A system that allows content creators, collaboration partners, game publishers, investors, and gamers to cooperate seamlessly. Streamers and casual players can make money by obtaining/selling in-game items in the form of rare NFTs. At the same time, investors can host advertisements on different areas of the Katana Inu map.
P2E Mechanics
Katana Inu is free-to-play but also play-to-earn with NFTs fully integrated into the game as in-game cosmetics. This approach allows players to battle for these rare items and sell them for tokens on the marketplace.
Token/NFT Staking
Katana Inu fully embraces DeFi and provides an outlet for players or investors interested in participating in decentralized finance to earn tokens by staking their NFTs, contributing to the liquidity pool, or trading on the Katana Inu gaming decentralized exchange (DEX).
Media Feed
The Katana Inu interactive media feed will provide different ways to engage communities, reach the right audience, update others, and get updates themselves.
Personal Customization
Creators can customize their collection page to suit their preferences. Character customization is also available for gamers; they can acquire different in-game custom items (as NFTs) and equip them on their character.
Technical support
Thanks to the system configured by a professional team, live support at all times, and assistant support specific to your company at all times. Always the fastest solution to problems, both for your community developers.
Katana Inu NFT Marketplace
A big part of the Katana Inu ecosystem involves NFT integration. The Katana Inu marketplace allows for the seamless buying and selling of both regular NFTs and in-game NFTs. The Katana Inu NFT marketplace aims to bridge web2 and web3 gaming communities and onboard viewers, sponsors, professional gamers, streamers, and content producers. This marketplace will support both ERC721 and ERC1155 standard NFTs.
Users of the Katana Inu NFT Marketplace can:
- Create their own NFT collections with minimal fees and use their own token.
- Use many standard and unique features such as Auction, Bidding, In-game gear creation, NFT rental, Liquid staking, and much more.
- Use our API to bring off-chain games to the blockchain quickly.
Katana Inu Future Development: Phase 2
The developers of Katana Inu intend to push ahead toward phase 2 development with the launch of its NFT marketplace and the expansion of the Katana Inu community.
Phase 2 will focus on community growth, marketing, and improved utility. The team plans to introduce virtual lands into the Katana Inu game, expanding the players’ earning opportunities. With the introduction of virtual lands, players can earn block space and eventually mint land just by playing the game! This will not only provide new utility for Katana Inu but will also improve player retention in the long term.
Another phase 2 development is the introduction of portals. The portal mechanism allows other players to enter the game via sections of the map owned by virtual landowners. These landlords may charge a small fee for passage through their lands and could provide certain position advantages for players entering the battle royale. The game developers have additional features for holders of bigger lands but are keeping these under wraps for now.
